A sample of project management experience within Link includes:
- Design consulting to DOE and commercial nuclear industry on
concrete (pre-stressed, post-tensioned, etc.) and steel construction,
anchor bolt designs, piping layouts, and structural response to
natural phenomena.
- Assisted Westinghouse Hanford Company in developing the project
management strategy for the PUREX Deactivation Project, including
establishing project milestones, schedule, development of work
breakdown structure, development of project plan and development
of integrated safety strategy.
- Supported the Office of Environment, Safety and Health and DOE
Richland Operations Office with project oversight of Bldg. 233-S
(Plutonium Concentration Facility) Decommissioning Project. Activities
included technical review of project management plan, CERCLA documentation,
and safety basis documentation.
- Assisted the DOE Office of River Protection in oversight of
construction safety at the Hanford High-Level Tank Waste Treatment
Plant. This involved regulatory gap analysis of state, federal
and DOE requirements, evaluation of applicability to contractor
activities, and a review of implementation practices.
- Supported the DOE Idaho Operations Office in managing General
Plant Projects at the Chemical Processing Plant, including participating
in design and construction reviews, review of safety issues, and
evaluation of project performance (cost, schedule, etc).
- Supported numerous NRC licensing reviews and inspections of
commercial nuclear power plant upgrades and safety issues.
